Well, the inevitable happened. Our two little eggs were properly incubated, and out popped two baby doves. They've been hanging out while mom and dad gather worms and other items to regurgitate for them. They're not the cutest little things I've seen, but their little bulbous heads are sort of cute when they stick their scrawny little necks up.

Our cat, Diego, is sort of interested in the birds. But every time he runs outside he'd rather eat grass. Our friend Nikki told us that if we leave our planter up then the doves will return next year and nest again. We'll see....
