Thanks to calm winds for most of the day we have not had to evacuate. The fire to the southeast of us (see the map below) has largely stalled, but a finger of the fire has crept north to the 94 freeway around Jamul and could potentially make its way over to us if the winds pick up.

We were able to get out of the house for some time today and visit my dad at the coast. Lord willing, this will all be over soon.
