As we celebrate our Moms today I think about how much I love my Mom and miss her. It's days like this that I wish I lived closer to my Mom so we could spend the day together. But instead, I had to settle for talking to her on the phone 4 times today :) I love you Mom!!!

Being a Mom has got to be the greatest blessing and JOY one can ever have...it just doesn't get any better than being a mommy and being married to the most wonderful man in the whole world! My husband and my girls bless me and bring me joy and happiness every single day. This is exactly what I dreamed about (and more!) when I was a child. Thank you, Lord, for my wonderful, precious, loving family.

We celebrated Mother's Day as we typically do, the day before. Saturday we spent the afternoon at Seaport Village and we had a wonderful time! We started the day by Nate volunteering (okay, I volunteered him) for a street performance. Capri got a kick out of watching her Daddy perform a trick. Then we had a very beautiful dinner right on the water. After dinner we headed to a grassy area so Capri could feed the birds and we ended our afternoon with Capri having Tweety Bird (she picked it out) painted on her arm. Fun was had by all! This Mother's Day I pray for wisdom to help me be the Mommy that God wants me to be. I pray that I would continue to grow and learn and that I would always be teachable, always working to improve my weaknesses so I can be a good example to my daughters. I pray my girls would grow up knowing and loving the LORD and that Nate and I would be a reflection of Jesus to them.
