What a sight to wake up to

Tammy and I bought these morning glories a couple weeks back. We wanted some sort of vine to grow and cover our backyard retaining wall, which is not very attractive. Naturally, I made my best attempt to kill these poor flowers when I transplanted them into the ground. I did a very thorough job of ripping 85% of the roots off as I pulled the flowers out of their nursery pots. Somehow they've survived my meddling and now seem to be thriving.
At the moment they're still growing vertical on their support poles but I'm going to try to untie them and run them horizontally along the low (2-3 foot) wall. I'm not sure how that will end up looking, but they sure look gorgeous right now.
