nose to the grindstone
I mentioned a yard sale in the last post. Tammy and I picked up a new doorknob (with a key), a Microsoft cordless mouse for the computer, and a juice pitcher for a grand total of $2. The doorknob and the mouse were in their original packaging, unopened. So we probably saved at least $30. That's good.
We went crib shopping yesterday, despite the fact that we had a crib already sitting in the baby's room just waiting to be used. After wandering around Babies R Us and not really having much success we decided to go home and try again another time. We did manage to buy the bedding we wanted and a mobile to match. I was quick to make a vow never to shop at that worthless store again.
When we got home it finally dawned on me how to get the crib we have to work right--so the sides go up and down--and Tammy put the bedding in the crib to give it another look. And what do you know...we liked it! So now we don't have to go out and buy a new crib. We can enjoy what God has already blessed us with.
